You ARE Repelling Money!

Posted in: Uncategorized by scott_manning on September 22, 2010

We had a wonderfully productive Mastermind Session last Friday and during our Afternoon Group we dove head first into an in-depth discussion about Money, Wealth, Mindset, Prosperity, and all of the above.

So often we don’t just talk about marketing, in this case, all the marketing in the world won’t make you rich if you are pushing away all the opportunities, riches, and success that effective marketing brings You.  Truly there’s a universe factor out there, what you don’t accept, embrace, appreciate, and knowingly, willingly, honestly feel deserving of, You won’t be allowed to keep it very long.

There are many things You do that will repel money, too many to list here.

But the most common mistakes I see people make go something like this:

  • Feel as if they do not deserve it, because of childhood, past mistakes, etc
  • Are envious, resentful, and negative to those who have found ways to be successful
  • Think that work and money are not linked, they try to get something for nothing
  • Acting as though they don’t want money, like money, care about money

The biggest one of them all that I think people make who are trying to make their break as successful entrepreneurs is that they follow the wrong numbers… they pay attention to all the things that lead to failure, instead of success.

As example:

  • They try to work as little as possible
  • They try to have the least amount of responsibility as possible
  • They try to spend the smallest amount of money as possible
  • They try to think, risk, and challenge themselves as infrequently as possible

Here’s a revolutionary idea for You, if you want to make more money, invest more of everything You’ve got: time, energy, resources, thought, effort, money, EVERYTHING on CREATING MORE MONEY, discovering more opportunity, finding new income, customers, and breakthroughs.

Sure you have to control expenses in your business and life, but show me a person who is always watching the expense column and I’ll show you a person who is drowning for lack of oxygen (or money).

You know what you attract, think about, work on, you get more of.

Successful Entrepreneurs always look at getting a bigger piece of the pie, or finding a bigger pie, never eating smaller bites so their piece last longer…

Just know this, we are all repelling money in some ways, all the time.  As long as you are conscious of it and focusing on the right, positive, profitable things and minimizing and working to eliminate the ways You are repelling money, You will create more prosperity.

Here’s one for starters, that You must believe and embrace, contrary to what You’ve heard before –

MONEY DOES GROW ON TREES and the world is our forest.  Stop looking on the ground for dollars that are falling and look up, trees with money, life with opportunity is all around You.  Go pick out the biggest one and start climbing, besides the view really is so much better from on top.

To Your Wealth Attraction,

The Almighty Order Form

Posted in: Uncategorized by scott_manning on September 15, 2010

By: Scott Manning

I have a saying that I often tell my coaching members when discussing new ideas and strategies to execute…”most ideas are simply an order form away.”
While this might be pretty self explanatory and even seem simplistic… it’s not.

In fact, quite the opposite.  Most people make “getting to the money” and execution far too complicated a matter.

Truly, ideas are judged by the marketplace and the only way to let them vote is to put the offer in front of them.

By “order form” I’m referring to ANY offer presentation to your customers, prospects, clients, etc.

Could be an email.  Letter.  One-on-One pitch.  Sales Presentation.  Or literally a piece of paper or an online Order Form.

When people get an idea they often first think of all the reasons it won’t work, all the things they have to do, all the problems that could occur.  Accurate Thinking as Dan Kennedy constantly reminds us about is critical, but he didn’t say “make a list of all the excuses why You can’t accomplish something, before you even start”

Of course you know, that’s the one sure way You WILL NOT get it accomplished, ever.

Being unattached, unemotional, and unafraid of the results is important if you are going to start getting more done.  Now, that doesn’t mean you don’t take every action seriously and I can assure You when I have a launch or a mail piece that doesn’t go well, I’m angry, grumpy, pissed off, and everybody around me knows it… but that possibility or result does not deter me from hurrying up another chance into the market place.

Think about Professional Athletes, every day they deal with let downs, failures, mistakes.

Take our Indianapolis Colts for example.  Embarrassing performance on opening day…and it’s a big deal, they only get 16 of those chances each year.  But, if you watched, and noticed the best play of the game happened with Peyton’s final pass for the Touchdown to, I think, Austin Collie, who happened to also be the one who fumbled a key pass just a serious or two earlier.

Point is You can’t stop passing the ball or playing the game because You don’t always get the results you want.  You have to be focused on the getting of results, not just the thinking of ideas.
Your attitude about this is very important.  Be hungry for results, be anxious for the market to decide about your ideas, you have to want to be out there on the field.  And always be ready with the next play.

Attitude coupled with Action is the one-two punch for success.
The attitude that You will MAKE IT HAPPEN
And the Action to PUT IT INTO MOTION

So, next time You come across new strategies and ideas, remember, the bridge between Ideas and Money is so often, just, an Order form.

People who I work with and those that I study, follow, and see their successes, have lots in common, and this is one of the big ones.  SPEED TO THE MARKETPLACE!

Make a commitment today to push more order forms off the cliff.  After all, that’s how the moneys made.

MAKING THEM BELIEVE – LIVE EVENT
On October 8th I’ll be hosting the co-author, who along with Dan Kennedy wrote the hottest, most provocative marketing blueprint book on Amazon right now called: MAKING THEM BELIEVE.

Life, not business: “A Feather in the wind” (referencing Forrest Gump on the bench… remember)

A long, impactful message, just for you, today.

Over the weekend I took Ryan and his wife, Meghan along with Madeline for a day in Charleston and a day in Savannah, two of our favorite cities as you well know.  This was actually the first time for us all to be together and have a couple days to ‘just hang out’ amidst four hour blocks of focused and aggressive attacking of client projects and end of year game-planning between Ryan and I.  Never all work, or all play, life is about both… we’re fortunate we can have both, together.

We had a wonderful time and ate at great restaurants and enjoyed the weather, shopping, and the time together.  While it was a great idea for the weekend, it was an afterthought to a joint half-day consulting with a brand new, out of the gate Information Business Development Client.  We’ll build, advise, and manage from scratch, this man’s brilliant, affluent-focused, info-business idea, which happens to be one of our preferred specialties.

Then we spent some time with the staff of one of our other clients in Charleston while he was out of the country on business, touching base and going over all the moving parts and projects in motion.

This was very unusual for us, because I especially, am very staff-adverse.  But this team is different and our client has done a phenomenal job at building a solid, on-the-same-page team with his entrepreneurial passion.

Which brings me to my point… I’m getting there, don’t worry.  Read between the lines and learn, why don’t ya.

In Savannah, I wanted to take Ryan and Meghan on a very special Ghost Tour (which we enjoy doing in every city, not so much for the ghosts but the history, with a twist) that I took my family on last year for the 4th of July.  I sought out the company and requested the guide we had last year which took me half the day to track down.

All the effort to discover that that man had died unexpectedly just two months earlier this year.

Why is that such a shock and why did it ‘touch us’…

Because this person, happened to be the owner of this tour and many other tours in Savannah, he was only 46 years old.  While I’m not typically nosy and do not concern myself with other people’s business, I wanted to know what happened and more about this man.  Because from our experience last year, I knew, while he never said it, that there was more to him than a typical “tour guide”.

So I quickly research online to read more and see what I could find.  I discovered one of the most respected current-day entrepreneurs and creators in the city of Savannah.  In one article he was named “the first ‘young entrepreneur’ success story in Savannah” by a local journalist.

At one time he worked for Michael Jackson in coordinating his concerts and spent time in Hollywood, but his passion for Savannah led him home and he brought his Hollywood connections with him.  He was a key influencer in bringing many movie crews to Savannah where a chunk of Forrest Gump and many others had been filmed.  He coordinated and managed these projects when they came to town.

Ron also found a niche for tours that were not being ran in Savannah and he sought to differentiate creating a “foody tour” a “movie tour” and others.  Including this “Scary” tour.  From what I could tell in talking with a close personal friend of his, who was leading our tour that night, he started a tour, perfected it himself, then hired someone to take it over.  He was still giving the Scary tour when we met him last year.  And I am thankful for it – There are lessons in his tiny little entrepreneurial life in Savannah Georgia, but the differentiation of his tours, from the names, to the topics, to the ‘onboard movies’ that no one else had, to his passion and local “connector” status within the tourism industry in Savannah, to always moving on to the next project, to creating one thing after another, and consciously choosing the business he wanted to have.

But, that’s not what I want to point out here.  It is the reality that we all know and so often because of the depressing feeling it leaves us with, choose to ignore… that yours, mine, our time on earth doing what we’re doing is limited.  In fact, it’s a feather in the wind and we just don’ t know when, where, and how it will stop blowing and land.

So Ron made an impact on me, because it reminded me to stop waiting, putting off, and putting up with delay, inaction, hesitation, and fear.

Unlike our lives, business doesn’t have to wait for the wind to blow.  We create our own wind by doing something.

Today in honor of the entrepreneurial friend I never really knew, get off your ass, stop killing away your life with all the “thinking” and make a commitment to yourself to “live” more.

You aren’t helping anyone by holding onto your ideas, your business visions, and ambitions and waiting.  The changes, the opportunities, the money is only here as long as you are –
Seems like a good idea to do something with all of that while you’re still can.

Besides, the one thing I know, Ron was doing what we wanted and making a money how he wanted, and his only regret would have been not doing more, faster, and sooner… will yours be too?

P.S.  There is no pitch for the chapter necessary, you know what it takes to buy speed and harness the power of “now”, You get others on your team, cheering, pushing, and guiding you along each month at our Chapter Events, Mastermind Groups, and with my Private Coaching.

If you need to register for this Friday’s meeting you can click here: http://www.NoBSIndy.com/chaptermeeting

If you’re real ambitions and serious about taking it to the big time, you can do what our clients do so well, smartly, let’s us do it for you… that’s the fastest way to end all excuses, permanently.  Either way there’s not glory going it alone if you never get anywhere… get involved, get moving, get rich while you can, make a difference while it’s still possible.  The realities of life are the biggest motivators, use them for what little good they allow, it’s the only way to do them justice.

P.P.S.  Ron most likely died of a sudden heart attack while working out.  He had changed his lifestyle around just two years prior and got back in shape and became committed to health and he trained and exercised at least two hours each day.

I’ve refrained from sharing more about Ron without the family’s permission in respect of their loss still so recent.  If you’re going to Savannah I’d be happy to send you the contact info of the tour company that has continued despite Ron’s death.

3 Secrets Revealed – So now what?

Posted in: Uncategorized by scott_manning on September 1, 2010

Over the past week I’ve given you 3 very deep, dark, and emotional secrets to influence, manipulate, and create “Fans” out of your customers to get them to follow your lead and steadfastly give you money regardless of economy, price, circumstance, or even your win/loss record…

Certainly, since we are talking about You, we know you provide good quality and value and all of that good stuff.  But, at the end of the day, losing teams still have fans.

You just need to know and embrace the real secrets that will take you to the next level.

Next Friday I’m going to be telling you about something very special, extraordinary really.  And it has to do with bringing THE expert on these 3 secrets to You live in the very near future.  When you show up Friday, you get priority information, first.
Anyhow, I want to review the 3 secrets, because, quite frankly, I’m sure you haven’t taken time to really study them and apply them to your business, yet, so I will.

1)    Hope
2)    Belonging
3)    Anticipation

Hope, in essence is “the big promise”, in this case, of a better life, because of You, your business, whatever it is you offer.  Whatever you sell, you have to articulate, allow the customer to experience it and have vision of it as providing much greater impact on their life than just “features and benefits”.

You are selling what they wish they could have.

Belonging, is about being a part of something bigger than oneself.  I have two clients who do this, actually three, marvelously.  In some cases I’ve helped, in others they pretty much had it.

But Customers and Clients of theirs sell “movement” “cult” “private group” – they sell status.  Customer don’t want to just be another customer.  They want to be a part of something, if you make this possible, they’ll do whatever you say.

This can be by membership, secret handshake, loyalty programs, etc  But, the greater the extreme you can take this, the better.

We do it, right here, locally, with our GKIC Indy Chapter Group.  Only serious entrepreneurs allowed.  The ones that are, stay, others we run off.

Anticipation, is all about “What’s Next” and giving them something to look forward to.  As many Entrepreneurs also fall victim to BSOS, or Bright Shiny Object Syndrome – so do Customers.  They want the next, the new, the better, the improved, the different, etc –

As example, cell phones, ipads, and on and on.

Events work great.  Sales promotions.  New special things.

You can never do enough of this.  And you can never make it too hyped, you can never promote it too much.  One of my friends and mentors in the martial arts industry says “promote the event until you think it is ridiculous, then DOUBLE IT”

If you grasp the importance of these 3 secrets, they will make you rich, and your customers will love you more because of them.

So, this brings me to next week, which I don’t have time to elaborate on.  I’ll just say that one of the most powerful ways to exploit these 3 secrets is through what we call “information marketing”.

At our Chapter Event I’m going to take you through exactly how to make them come to life through information marketing, and I’m guaranteeing that you’ll end up with more leverage, insight, and fun opportunities to put in place in your business than you’ve imagined before.

These 3 secrets coupled applied through Information Marketing, gives you the ultimate Herd Building, Fan Creating, Business everyone wants to be a part of, money making machine.

Hope.
Belonging.
Anticipation.

You get all 3 with me every month.  It’s worth being involved just to experience the life demonstration of all of this kick ass marketing and money making magic.
