You, Me, and The Road Less Traveled…

When they said, ‘you never know what Life is going to throw you’, they weren’t kiddin’

In fact, I believe this is my 6th trip to the Big Show – and 5 years ago, I had no idea what I was getting into.  I only knew that everyone around me wouldn’t understand and I sure as hell couldn’t explain it.

But, there in Chicago, I found my home amongst like-minded Entrepreneurs, taking on the world and setting out to and accomplishing ambitions others would joke about or even laugh at.

Today, I embark to the 2009 Marketing and Money Making SuperConference – “The PLACE For Prosperity” with over 20 of my Private Coaching, Mastermind and Local GKIC Indy Members, surely to be one of the best teams there from all over the Country.

Most of them, going for their first time, and not sure what to expect…

I’m confident they will ‘see the light’ just as I did just a handful of years ago.

Giving Yourself THE Advantage…

Today, I thought I’d give you a behind the scenes look at what why people achieve success and sustain it – in other words, how to get rich and accomplish all of your business and life objectives.

That sounds like a bold statement – and it is.

So, let me give you a brief background about what got me thinking about this…

Last Friday I spent the day in our Monthly Mastermind Meeting and as we do every few months we ate lunch together and I conducted a Private ‘Advanced’ Workshop about a specific topic for the Mastermind Members benefit.

The topic of our Lunch Workshop was “How To Trigger The Phenomenon in The Next 90 Days” – Unless you’re brand new to our secret society, you should know the Phenomenon is a time in your life when you achieve more in 12 months than in the previous 12 years.

Space and time do not allow for a full explanation.

At our Workshop I emphasized key foundations to set yourself up for the Phenomenon, learned, of course, from the Creator himself – Dan S Kennedy – when he presented at the Phenomenon Workshop he conducted in Orlando in January of this year.

Before I give you the 3 major foundations – let me give you the most important point here, there are actually 5 Premises for which the Phenomenon is based, however

What’s most important is that You –

Believe in the idea that You can be achieving a whole lot more than you are.

Faster.

You have to embrace the fact that there are things you don’t know, once implemented, will take a life of their own in your business.

Last but certainly not least, you have to be open to new ideas, new ways of thinking, new ways of behaving and doing.

The bottom line that you have to grasp is that the only thing holding you back, in your way, and suppressing you in your life and business growth right now is – YOU!

It is after all, what you needed to hear.

Nothing else matters unless we first fix – You.

Okay anyhow – here are the 3 foundations for the Phenomenon.

  1. Phenomenon Triggers
  2. Phenomenon Marketing
  3. Phenomenon Liberation

Again, right here isn’t the place to elaborate – reserved for my Mastermind Members, and as I only partly joking tell people – that one requires a bigger fee and a longer day…

After we went through these each in detail and broke down the pieces, my Mastermind Members and I then talk about as Dan likes to say “How to get it all done!”

Speed is a critical factor to the Phenomenon and there are about 8-10 specific things you must do to make it all happen and to get the moving parts working together.

After everything we went through during our Workshop – I had what they call a “blinding flash of the obvious” and realized what all this really meant.

You see triggering the Phenomenon is really about giving yourself the ultimate advantage.

If you embrace the premises and establish the foundations and execute the speed strategies and behaviors – it’s a sure fire, can’t fail, must get you rich program.

It’s a formula –

Are you following a formula in your business, or just shooting from the hip…is your gun even loaded – and where are you aiming?

My motto and the theme of the Mastermind Meeting (I even wrote it on the board) was:

“Big(ger) Thinking”

“High(er) Expectations”

and “your first or next $100,000 even $1,000,000 doesn’t have to be that far away”

Now back to our Regularly Schedule Marketing Message of the Week!

(Plenty more on the Tax topic, but or today I’m in a hurry got a Tea Party to attend)

Okay, so I don’t ever anticipate having a Radio Show, but one of my favorite movies I use to watch in my ‘younger’ days was GOOD MORNING VIETNAM. There are a few reasons I like that movie, no question it was impacting at the time. Despite Robin Williams liberalism, he’s one that I just about all the time enjoy watching.

I watched part of that movie last weekend I think it was and it sort of got me thinking about an odd correlation to the Marketing of our Businesses.

And something that is ever so relevant and crucial right now – that’s why I’m brining it to your attention…!

As you know, Robin Williams who plays a Military Radio Host sent to Saigon and he is wildly popular with the troops – but despised by his superiors – because he broke the rules and very controversial…

Although I do believe you have to ‘break the rules’ against the norm and that is a Key Phenomenon Trigger, one I will be taking in detail about with my Mastermind Members at our special Phenomenon Lunch Workshop this Friday – it is not my main point here.

The reason Adrian Cronhour (Robin Williams character) was so immensely popular were for obvious and unobvious reasons.

Obvious – he was entertaining, uplifting, and provocative. His personality connected.

Unobvious – and my message today – was that he connected with and understood his Audience, he gave the troops what they wanted, even needed, to hear. Not simply what others thought was appropriate.

Now, these two are one in the same, but the significance of the “unobvious” is the premise for the ability to be entertaining, uplifting, and provocative.

Let me make it clear in terms of Business and Selling and specifically appropriate to the Recession and New Economy right now…

You MUST sell what YOUR Customers want to Buy.

Not what You or anyone other than Your Customers wants to Sell.

This means you have to make a study out of your Customer, you have to learn, understand, and connect with them.

You MUST deliver what YOUR Customers wants.

Not what You or anyone other than Your Customers thinks they want.

This is basic “Dan Kennedy Message-to-Market Match”, yet it is so much more than that.

I am talking about reengineering your business to cater to and match up with exactly what Your Customers desire and expect, perhaps without You ever knowing.

The big secret and why this is so important (anytime) but especially right now, is because PEOPLE ARE SPENDING MONEY, they are just being more selective over where and with whom they spend it.

They are attracted to and willing to do business with people they feel are providing the best fit for them and their situation.

The facts are – if you are still doing business exactly as you were a year or two ago, with no adjustments or altercations, now – you are more than likely not very happy.

Because People change…

The way they buy

The way they justify buying

The way they feel about buying

And the criteria they use to decide ‘to spend’ or ‘not to spend’ and ‘who to spend it with’

Questions to ask yourself…

Have you retooled your message to take advantage of the Recession?

Have you modified your sales process and steps in your marketing funnel?

Have you created specific options to match the changes in your customers?

The Business of Life or the Life of Business, is as you know not a stagnate objective, and certainly Your customers aren’t either.

Our Changing times, the Emerging New Economy, People taking our money, and the Recession or Depression or whatever it becomes…

Are ALL noble battles that must be fought and just as in a War or a Radio Show about a War, you have to adjust to the circumstances and environments and continually learn and discover better more effective ways to Profit and Win.

It’s crazy to believe the old saying…

“keep doing what you always did, keep getting what you always got”

That only works when it’s talking about “doing NOTHING” because it doesn’t hold up – Not Now, Not Ever!

As cliché as it is, Change is the only constant – you either embrace or die by it.

AMERICAN ARROGANCE

(Warning – There’s a good chance you’ll find what your about to read offensive and controversial at the least)

As I often have to say which you’ll take for what it’s worth – my comments are not intended to be political at all – simply to reflect reality of Entrepreneurial Life and the things that affect it, whether You or anyone else choose to embrace and accept it with – ACCURATE THINKING (which was the theme of my writing to you last week)

When our President implied and said the words I’ve used to title this email, he re-lit a trigger in my mind about what it takes to be successful, that I learned by way of Dan Kennedy when I read the following words years ago…

“It’s what’s supposed to happen”

He was referring to the large amount of money he deposited one day into in bank account…the tellers at the bank called security and the manager because of the amount…Dan reminds himself often when feats other people would be awestruck by, that “it’s what’s supposed to happen”.

In other words, success is the point!

And here’s what I want to deliver to you today – ARROGANCE!

Okay, not really, rather CONFIDENCE, none the less, these two words at least appear to the outside observer as confusing synonyms – one in the same.

You be the judge.

The important aspect of this is that AMERICA is AMERICA because it has Confidence and it believes that the Success of our Nation and it’s People lie in the belief that…

IT IS WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!

So, call us Americans Arrogant if you wish – but I wouldn’t change a thing about the freedom and liberty and pursuit of happiness as we deem it – that we live for and breathe here in this country.

Here’s WHY It Is NOT ARROGANCE!

Because we don’t set out to achieve what we want INSPITE of others, we do it in large part and often in totality for the benefit of others.

And try to explain why so many foreign people become successful in America and MILLIONS are lined up both illegally and legally to come and join our ranks…

…it’s not because we’re ARROGANT…it’s because we’re CONFIDENT in our purpose and that breeds CONFIDENCE in the opportunity people come here to find and achieve.

The BOTTOMLINE is this –

You will find many successful people who’s CONFIDENCE and SUCCESS bread and lead to obvious, obnoxious arrogance.

But You WILL NEVER FIND A Successful Person Who Is Not, at least internally (sometimes even secretly), but more often than not they are BOLDY, Outwardly, Obviously, CONFIDENT and Certain That They Deserve And Will Achieve Success.

If you choose to challenge this premise it’s for the sake of the argument because I can’t tell you – people see success as arrogance because they don’t have it and they lack the confidence in themselves to achieve it – not because the person in question is necessarily Arrogant!

Here’s a quote I just read from the brand new Donald J. Trump book I got yesterday right before meeting a Private Coaching Client at Barnes and Noble…

It’s on the first page of the Introduction.

In fact, it’s the first sentence of the book…

“Over the years, I have watched many people aspire to success. I am one of them, and while I haven’t peaked yet, I’ve had a good share of success already…”

Key words –

“I am one of them”

“I haven’t peaked yet”

Now, neither you nor I, but non-entrepreneurs would take that as arrogance, those simple words…not arrogance, fact, and confidence.

Donald is one of the best examples of present time, because he believes and knows – His Success and Getting Richer is What’s Suppose To Happen!

The first one most important part conquering the Recession and either staying in business, or growing your business (your choice) is to believe and know that your success is what’s supposed to happen and have confidence about it.

And no matter who you are or how you’re feeling, we can all use more Confidence…

Have You Been Fooled Today?

Being ‘fooled’ reminds me of something Dan Kennedy talks about a lot, written by Napoleon Hill – and it’s something that will keep you from being Fooled – most of the time…

Accurate Thinking!

Right now, especially, You, me, any Entrepreneur can be fooled on either extreme.

One being that ‘the sky is falling’ and the worlds coming to an end and success is impossible.

And this week, we’re being fooled that we might as well close down now and fire ourselves, less the government’s coming around the corner to do the job for us.

The other extreme though is to think, be told, and especially believe that “it’s all okay” and I can surely bet cha that Zig Ziglar would say something like this “even positive thinking won’t get you out of this mess” and in case you or someone you know is still relying on “The Secret”…

Pass along our little secret to them…

Waiting for the Universe to come down and scoop you up land you in a nice secure place with lots of rich people giving you money without work or value and thus making you immune to the Recession – it isn’t going to happen – I can think of a whole lot of things that’ll come before that will.

My point on this April Fools day, is that we have to protect ourselves, just like we want to protect our money, our family, our business, our customers…

We must also protect ourselves from being fooled, for better or worse.

And focus on what’s real and ACCURATE.

Last Friday we had another fun Chapter Meeting where we shared ideas and worked on ways to “bring luck” into your business, giving you ability to make “money on demand” and it was all done with REAL, SPECIFIC, VISIBLE Strategies and Actions that you put in your business.

I’ll tell you the theme for the Chapter Meeting was this,

“The Harder I Work At Doing More Of The RIGHT Things…The Luckier I Get and The More Money I Make”

The key word that everyone leaves out is – The Right Things.

And if you listen to everything around you, you’d never think there were a way out, anything at all that you could do to climb up out of the Recession and survive.

There are.

Everything you read and listen to Dan and Bill say and to me ever week right here and in our Monthly Meetings together is about how right now there is amazing opportunity to expand market share, eliminate competition, and still find success and money, albeit in different ways.

We never said it was going to easy and we certainly acknowledged what’s seems like a long time ago, that we are in ‘hard times’, but it doesn’t have to dictate what happens to you, you can still be in control.

And as long as you stay away from the Fool’s and keep from being one yourself – you’ll find that what you do right now to grow you business, to stay afloat, and to push onward and upward will have multitudes of impact when the ‘tough’ economy loosens and the Recession moves on…

Here’s the most accurate thing you can embrace and think about, as Dan Kennedy says:

“There are no good economies, or bad economies, just different economies, each with their own opportunities hidden and available for you to profit from”

This week, I ask you, what are you doing to ferret out these hidden opportunities, how are you adjusting and exploiting the Emerging New Economy, last month, last week, today, tomorrow – focus on what is and continue striving for what you want.


Be flexible and adjust and commit to WORKING HARDER at DOING MORE of the RIGHT THINGS!

And Protect Yourself from the Fools at all costs – and as you know the best way to do that and to keep from being one yourself – is to get around and hang out with other People like You and Me – people focused on Accurate Thinking and who aren’t interested in putting their life on hold – for anyone or because of anything…
