The details of my past week are all but exciting. Other than a profitable experience at the Phenomenon Workshop and having Dan shake loose the obstacles in the way of the Phenomenon, I’ve been crazy sick for a few days now.
All better and geared up for a great Chapter Meeting none the less.
A few things really hit home though, as I haven’t been “in bed” sick for a long time. And that’s the reliance on a “Team”.
You know, all my life I’ve been independent and responsible for my own income, and literally the one who did it all. Developed broad shoulders – but also learned just how human I real am.
Now I’ve got more going on than I can literally remember, but there’s no way I could keep it all going on my own.
Which brings me to 3 major “triggers”, as Dan calls them, regarding the Phenomenon that I am employing and I can help you do the same.
First, I have a method of gathering and processing Information, specifically stuff the Dan and Bill send out every month. By receiving information on an ongoing basis I’m able to keep on track with progress and not get caught up on the “cycle of work” and just doing the same thing everyday.
Glazer-Kennedy Insider’s Circle equips an Entrepreneur with strategies and success opportunities by hand feeding Marketing and Money-Making Information each month.
So, in order to achieve Phenomenon levels of success, you have to have a constant flow of new information that challenges your thinking and forces progress beyond the norm.
Next, I have a team in place, whatever you want to call it, in various forms and sizes. Without a doubt, one person is limited and can only do so much. If you want to experience the Phenomenon you have to find ways to do more, get more done, have more things in motion, than any one person is capable of.
From outsourcing services, to delegating tasks and responsibilities, to hiring and overseeing staff, as you climb to higher levels of growth and success it is just a simple truth that you must do less of what you are doing now and do more of the highest and best use of your time, which is focusing on marketing and income expansion strategies.
I have experienced the Phenomenon on a small scale twice before in my life and am in mid swing, with a little luck and a few things falling into place, in experiencing another one within the next 12 to 24 months.
The reason it’s possible for me, at this time, is because last year I made the best decision so far in my business career, and I teamed up with my brother Ryan. Most of you know him and I’ve got to give him (nearly) all the credit for our continual growth locally in Indy and more importantly for freeing up my time and mind to achieve more.
Everyone needs a “Ryan” in their business and life. And what’s even better is that already his tasks and actions are rising up the ladder of success as well.
And in being out of commission, literally, for over a week now, it’s a great time for me to publically say a deserving “Thanks!” to him.
So, you have to have a “team” of some sort in place.
Last, but certainly not least, is the whole idea of being in and around a “Success Environment” such as our local GKIC Indy Chapter Group. There is nothing that has lifted my thinking more and elevated my awareness to success than being around other Entrepreneurs and being coached, motivated, inspired, and yes sometimes kicked, by others.
Last weekend, I has the pleasure to spend time with several of our group members from Indy and my friends and members at a distance Dr. Bill and his brother Dr. Matt, the Beyers Brothers from Illinois at the Phenomenon Event.
The people who achieve the most success the fastest, based upon their goals and objectives, spend as much time as possible in environments that challenge them. Environments that help them aspire to higher level actions and ideas.
This is the specific purpose of our Local Chapter Group, to life you up to higher thinking and to give you specific actionable strategies to take home to your business this week this month and make more money, and do what we all must do, strive for “more, better, faster” ways of doing things.
So, you don’t have to fly across country, you don’t have to miss days of work and family, you can take part in comfort of our own city (or close by) and participate in The Place, the only place, where local Indy Entrepreneurs gather to focus on building their businesses to achieve Phenomenon levels of success, to whatever that looks like for you.
How much more could I achieve if I were given fresh, proven, profitable Marketing and Money Making Ideas each and every month on a ready to serve menu of strategies and success opportunities?
How much more could I enjoy my life and family if I organized my business(es) to be ran by a team of people, services, and technologies, where my time would be freed up to focus on the most profitable thinking and doing, the marketing and income expansion of my business?
And, how much more impact could I make if I got together with other people, like-minded, and dedicated to Entrepreneurial success, people who experience and live similarly and who I could share ideas with, work on projects together, and join forces for success?
These three triggers of the Phenomenon have lead me to be in the most exciting time of my business life and I know they’ll do the same for you.
I personally invite you to join me this Friday at our first GKIC Indy Chapter Meeting of 2009. You can register at www.NoBSIndy.com/ChapterMeeting
I’ll be taking you by the hand and walking you through 7, dare I say, shortcuts, to the Phenomenon – rather jumpstarts, or readymade, Phenomenon Triggers.
We’ll go through your business and map out exactly how you can achieve more in the next 12 months than you have in the past 12 years. It’s the perfect topic at perfect time, this first meeting of 2009!

His secret was the connections that he made, the relationship that he solidified, and the circles he traveled.
I’m not taking anything away from him, at all. In fact, I’m complimenting him. He’s able to back it up and time will tell the rest of the story. However it’s incredible what he’s already accomplished, truly the American Dream.
Well, you should be living your American Dream also.
The 2 most ways to ensure that happens this year, in 2009, are the same Secrets that President Obama used to become our 44th President.

I just heard this quote on a recent Tele-Seminar, the person who said the quote I can’t recall, none the less it’s one to hang up in your office, heck write it on your arm or something…. It couldn’t be said often enough and needs constant reminding.
The quote “Success is never on sale!” means that you can’t buy success at a discount, ever. At least not and keep it.
The main point of this quote is that you simply can’t NOT earn Success…
Today I’m going to give one or two over all principles that can, if fully embraced, lead to dramatic increases in your wealth building this year.
So, hear we go…
After last week, I got lots of good feedback, several emails about how my message really hit home, and some members even thanked me for ‘waking them up’ and calling them out on at least thinking ‘cheap and easy’.
The twin sister to being ‘cheap and easy’ in your business and in your thinking is a lesson I learned many years ago when I still operated Martial Arts Schools full time and that lesson is this:
You can’t get rich by cutting expenses, that’ll only get you so far…
You get rich by EXPANDING income beyond expenses…
Now, let me say, we’re talking practically here and with some logic and common sense. For example, I don’t mean wasteful spending and living on credit, we all know this attitude as Dan calls it of “using your house as an ATM” and the wasteful spending of big dumb companies…that’s stupid.
But what’s worse is to think you can “cut your way out of trouble”.
You should always try to run lean and mean.
However, know that Success doesn’t come without Investment. You’re business can’t survive by simply cutting expenses…you must identify “expenses” versus “investments”.
There are things that you can do without and survive…and once you eliminate those things, I ask you a very important question:
What’s your plan, to stay where you are right now, forever?
To grow gradually, working more hours, slowly getting things going again?
Or to cut yourself to the bone, to last a few more months, then close for good?
Listen, there aren’t many options.
Until you embrace the ONLY way to get rich:
MAKE MORE MONEY!
You see, it’s the more exciting answer, and in this case it’s the right one too!
It may sound simple, yet, what exactly are you doing to – make more money – !?!
After you’ve gone through the handful of items you can eliminate from your budget, the monthly charges on your credit card, etc etc etc
You know what you realize…I do, because I’ve been there…you realize that there wasn’t as much there to eliminate as You thought!
So, again I ask you the important questions – Now What?
Let me give you a quick analogy, then I’m going to very blunt with you and finish off with some “make money now, take action ideas” you can jump on – today.
In martial arts we use certain philosophies to teach lessons, here’s one saying that my Korean Grandmaster taught me, really about life in general, but taught through lessons about battle, and war.
“If you fight the war to save your life You will die – If you fight the war WITH Your life, you can survive”
Now think about that for a moment. Those people who attempt to “just get by” in other words “save their life” have no chance – it’s poverty mentality!
People who strive to succeed with everything they’ve got – will survive, to fight another day – and are they only ones who have an opportunity to go beyond surviving – and thrive!
I hope that makes sense to you, eternalize it and focus on your business, not just on getting by, but on success, and growing your income, expanding your opportunities, and be determined to MAKE MORE MONEY!
The best news of all is cutting expenses is limited, very limited, making more money has no limit. Only your imagination, determination, opportunities, and knowledge base can limit it.
At our GKIC Indy Chapter Meeting this month I’ll be sharing with you immediate ways to increase your income and make more money, join me and our secret society of like minded, success oriented GKIC Chapter Members, register at www.NoBSIndy.com/ChapterMeeting

Now with one week under our belts in the new year of 2009, I ask you three important questions:
1. Have you articulated your goals and objectives and strategized a written practical plan to follow
2. Have you hit the ground running and have at least a weeks worth of progress towards your goals
3. Have you begun to aggressively eliminate things standing in your way of progress
And a bonus questions, just for you:
Are you setting yourself up for failure or success?
I know what my answer is to all of these questions and I know that over the past 48 hours, in meeting with some of my Mastermind Elite and Private Coaching Members where they stand. In fact we dedicated a couple hours to get very clear on specific actions and to ensure that what they are working on will in fact result in the accomplishment of the goals they want to attain.
Here are 3 big mistakes that will sink your ship on its way to success in 2009!
First, thinking that ‘incremental’ (slow) growth will get you to your goals and/or make you rich in this recession. What I mean by that is not in terms of investing and saving, etc (which I do and recommend), and I’m not talking about ‘winning the lottery’ rich over night either. I’m talking about people who think doggie paddling in business will results in success to some degree.
Well in the fast moving waters of the real world, your business will certainly go nowhere.
The way to make real measurable progress and sustain it – is to do ‘more, better, differently’ what works and what makes you money. Constantly look for the ‘bigger’ opportunities in your business and not settle for gradual progress, but radical improvements.
The truth is you can’t change one little thing at a time and expect to survive in the New Emerging Economy…
Last month at our Chapter Meeting I discussed with our members, the 12 ‘BIG Ideas’ that are real tactical strategies that will make significant impacts to the stability and profit of your business. You can get the copies of those handouts by attending this month’s chapter meeting…
Register at www.NoBSIndy.com/ChapterMeeting.
Second, guaranteed to set you up for failure is to real on ‘ideas’ thinking that, like the ‘Secret’, you just have to believe, talk about them enough, and sit in the right direction and your bank account will magically grow. Of course it’s sound silly as you read it, however too many people, the majority in fact, do this very thing – they talk about ideas but never talk about how to DO the ideas, they never put them into motion, they never take action, they never walk the walk, get dirty, make mistakes, try and try again…
Mainly because of: Fear. Lack of confidence. Uncertainty. False sense of hope. No direction!
Of course it doesn’t have to be that way.
2 things you can do immediately to change your outcomes are:
FOCUS – on a specific ‘something’ that you want to add, implement, change, expand in your business and force yourself to get it making money by the end of the month. And repeat this FOCUS each and every month with a new and different ‘something’. You’ll get the hang of it, then you’ll be able to do it weekly, then daily. It’s about action with a commitment to the ‘SPEED TO THE MONEY’ philosophy.
Next, if you’re smart, you’ll put yourself in an environment that supports your success, and also helps to ‘healthily force’ you to take action and get off your ass. That’s in large part the point and reason to attend and get involved in our local GKIC Indy Chapter Meetings.
It will overcome each of the obstacles listed above…
No more Fear, because you meet other people doing it already
Increases Confidence, because you’ll have little wins and growing successes to share with our group
You’ll become Certain of success because each month you’re around it
And quite frankly, I’ll beat out of you the ‘false sense of hope’ because our group is all about action and results, not hoping to get rich – but actually doing it!
Finally you’ll get more than direction, you’ll get specific marketing and money making strategies, a network of like-minded Entrepreneurs, and a success environment with proven ideas to results methods and concepts.
Sure it’s easy for me to say all this, its up to you to get to our monthly meetings, commit to improve yourself and your business, you’ll see just how powerful it is…besides I can give you more than a handful of examples of people who thought they could get by without being involved – yeah, you can talk to them, but you can’t do business with them, cause a good chuck of them are out of it, business that is.
Now that’s not saying anything about me – it’s about what it takes to succeed! Not my opinion, proven facts, taught by Dan and Bill and decades earlier by Earl Nightingale and Napoleon Hill, etc – success is a pattern of behaviors, getting rich is too.
You know one of our most reliable members, wrote on his year end survey that I ask all Chapter Attendees to fill out a very simple sentence, while so many are struggling and getting drowned in the waters of the recession he writes to me, “Thanks for a great year!” I happen to know his growing success and how he’s capitalizing on the emerging New Economy. He’s quiet and doesn’t talk a great deal in the Chapter Meetings, but he’s there, he attends, he gets involved, and he’s an aggressive student, and more importantly implementer. But You see, it’s not about me…his “great year” may be in part because of me, but it’s a whole lot more because he did the right things, one of which is attending our GKIC Indy Chapter Meetings to refuel his marketing and money making arsenal each month, but he’s the one who made it a Great Year, because he did what successful people do.
Never stop learning, never stop growing, and make sacrifices to put himself in the environment that leads to wealth…he stopped doggie paddling and climb in our Cruise Ship with rocket fuel and is blowing through the Recessionary waters.
You can join him and a whole bunch more smart GKIC Members at this months meeting, just go here to register www.NoBSIndy.com/ChapterMeeting
And I thank Jeff for his compliment and his involvement.
Finally, I got one more BIG mistake for you, and it’s perhaps the biggest one of all. It’s also the one that so many of us are contemplating and falling victim right now…
Being Cheap & Easy – pardon any offense, however give me a few seconds to justify my lingo.
Let’s face it, we all like a good deal when we can get one, and perhaps you yourself look for specials and save coupons, whatever – there’s a difference between being frugal, smart, and cheap!
And we all look for ‘easier’ ways to get things done, outsourcing, automation, internet, etc - there’s a big difference being working smart, efficient, and always looking for the easiest way out of laziness, convenience, or plain selfishness.
Right now when times are tight, our common sense get’s socialized, as in Cheap and Easy, “woe as me”, isn’t there an easies way, why can’t someone hand me success. Then, instead working harder, doing more, making more – you are forced to cut more out.
Hey – you know the bumper sticker – “life’s a &*#$%” – and while from time to time people might say the same thing about you (and me, no doubt) but that doesn’t make it true and it sure isn’t an attitude that will lead to success.
Thoughts ARE significant
Behavior IS vital
And when you try to cheapen success by getting rid of the ONLY things you can be certain are leading you in the right direction – you’re simply crazy.
So now is the time to ask yourself, where in my life am I being CHEAP & EASY and sabotaging myself on my road to riches and success in my life and business.
Let me be blunt –
If you’re committed to success, some sacrifice is on the menu and it’s served with every dish. Don’t mislead yourself and think you can get what you want by cutting back on the things that you need, you may have to find different ways of doing things, but the only way you’ll get what you want is to work harder, be more aggressive, acquire more knowledge, follow those who are successful, get around people with the right attitude, right directions, right ambitions, right mindset, right behaviors.
I can give you a list of things I’d cut out before I’d chose to cut out success, if you want that list, let me know, maybe I’ll share it with you next week just for fun…
If this comes across as a ‘lecture’ perhaps it’s hitting you at the right time, before it’s too late…for you.
Because successful people are resourceful, they are determined, they are aggressive, and they are demanding on themselves, they do what I like to call – STACK THE DECK IN THEIR FAVOR.
Make big bold aggressive changes to your business, think “more, better, differently” and look for opportunities to capitalize on, don’t settle for incremental growth and don’t get stuck in the day to day cycle of business…
FOCUS on turning your ideas into Actions and results.
Assess yourself, be honest, and don’t be CHEAP & EASY – invest more in what you need to be successful, and DON’T by tickets to pity parties, they are far more costly than just the admission. Excuses lead to “everybody else-it is” meaning you’ll be just like everybody else. Rise up, accept the challenge of Entrepreneurship…it’s already lonely enough, don’t think you can make it on your own, no one can, and again, not my opinion, fact, read the new book (which I have mixed feelings about portions of it) called Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell where he makes that exact point, scientifically.
That’s a load for you to digest, hey it’s the first of the year, I’m feeling feisty and it’s to your benefit…
Happy New Year! Come along for the ride with GKIC Indy, www.NoBSIndy.com/ChapterMeeting
